Longstanding Community Commitment.

Decatur Capital Management has a longstanding commitment to the communities in which we work and live. Since 2002, DCM has partnered with local colleges and engaged over 100 interns in our offices in the role of junior investment analyst. Interns support the firm’s development and implementation of quantitative and fundamental investment research, gaining real-world applicable finance skills that culminate in presenting a research paper to the firm’s investment team. Previous DCM interns have gone on to roles such as CEO and directors of financial firms, portfolio managers, analysts, and risk managers.

Employee Involvement.

DCM employees are also actively engaged in their local communities. This commitment starts at the top, with Degas Wright serving as a board member for local organizations and the Atlanta Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Board Memberships & Volunteerism.

Degas serves on the ASFIP Foundation Board. The ASFIP Foundation provides foundational knowledge on financial literacy to young adults in the Atlanta community. Through a series of seminars, online resources and grants, the young people are given tools to help themselves get started toward financial well-being. DCM has been an organizational sponsor as well as the individuals’ efforts.

Other team members serve on local non-profit boards and volunteer organizations. For 2020, DCM has made a contribution in support of food pantries, church, and school groups.

All employees are encouraged to give back to their communities through our Charitable Giving Program. This program matches employees’ charitable contributions, allowing employees to engage with their favorite charity.
